Suno launched music creation via Discord in 2023, moving to direct in suno.com later that year. Here's a quick guide to Suno models:
V2 Released Fall 2023, max generation 1min, 20 sec
V3 Released Spring 2024, updated 2 min generations
V3.5 Released Summer 2024, better song structure, max 4 min first generation, extend up to two minutes per extend
V4 Released November 2024, improved vocal quality, max 4 min first generation, plus Extend, Cover, and Persona
V4.5 Released May 2025, max 8 minute first generation, improved prompt adherence, smarter style mashups, etc. More info here
