Who owns my songs after I cancel my subscription?
Edited
As noted in our article Does Suno own the music I make?, there are some misconceptions around rights and ownership. In short:
Suno is generally considered the owner of the song, as our models are responsible for the output.
We give you the rights normally associated with ownership if you are subscribed while the songs are created.
You retain commercial use rights for the songs you made while subscribed, even if you cancel your subscription. This means you can start or continue monetizing your songs at any time, as long as they were initially created while subscribed.
Pro tip: Keep a copy of your invoices as proof of rights; for your own records, and just in case a distributor asks for more information before accepting your material!
