Does Suno own the music I make?
The answer is a bit complicated, but generally, yes. Suno is ultimately responsible for the output itself, though you help guide it. In that sense, we act as the owner, but we give you the rights often associated with ownership if you made the song(s) while subscribed.
If you were subscribed with a Pro or Premier plan when the song was created, you are granted commercial use rights for the song. You also retain the commercial use rights after ending your subscription. This does not indicate ownership, however, as we can't guarantee that what you input was yours, and we can't guarantee that the output won't be similar to other outputs we generate.
If you are using the free plan, we retain ownership of the songs you generate, but you are allowed to use those songs for non-commercial purposes, subject to your compliance with Suno’s Terms of Service.
It might not be the most thrilling to read, but you'll almost always find the answers you need in the Terms of Service. If there's something that isn't covered there, or here in this Help Center, give our team a shout at support@suno.com
