How do I get stems?

Stems let you break a song into separate musical parts — vocals, drums, bass, guitar, keys, and more — so you can work with each one individually.

From your Workspace or Library

1. Select the More Actions (...) menu next to any song
2. Select Get Stems
3. Choose a split type
4. Select Extract

From Suno Studio

1. Right-click an audio clip on the timeline
2. Select Split Stems
3. Choose a split type

What is Advanced Stem Separation?

Advanced Stem Separation breaks a song down with more precision and cleaner results, with three modes:

Auto Split — Separates into up to 12 stems. Available on Pro and Premier. Costs 50 credits per extraction.

Split from Mix — Extracts a single instrument or vocal, plus a complement track. Available on Pro and Premier. Costs 10 credits per stem.

Advanced Split — You choose which stems to separate from a list of nearly 100 instruments. Premier only. Costs 10 credits per stem.
