How are v6 models different from other past models?
v6 models are the first we have released in partnership with artists and producers including our partners WMG and BMG.. v6 models are our best yet: faster, more expressive and higher quality, with powerful new features that give you greater control over your music.
What is the difference between v6 and v6-wild?
v6 is our flagship model for Pro and Premier subscribers. It's reliable, precise and consistently delivers polished music genres and styles. When you know what you want, v6 helps you get there
v6-wild is built for exploration. Available to Pro and Premier subscribers, it's less predictable and more varied, producing unexpected, textured and ambitious results. It gives you new ideas to riff on, build from or bring back into v6 for further refinement
Which models are included with my plan?
All users will have access to v6-mini, our fastest and free version of our premium v6 models. Pro and Premier subscribers will also have access to v6 and v6-wild
Can I give v6 multiple directions at once?
Yes! You can give complex and diverse styles/instructions to v6 using Simple mode. Now, you can reference multiple inputs including Suno songs, playlists, audio uploads, images and video in a single prompt and provide detailed guidance on the output you’d like all in one shot.
What’s different about creating with v6 models?
Across all three models, v6 understands more of the language and building blocks musicians use, from vocals, instrumentation and structure to mood, references and the overall feel of a song. That makes it easier to communicate a complex vision, explore different directions and refine the details. Describe what you want and v6 figures out how to get there. In Simple Mode, you don't need to know which tool to reach for (like Cover, Remix, Extend) when creating with v6. The model figures out the workflow if you want it to.
What can I now do with v6 that I couldn’t before?
Edit part of an existing song using plain language. Change one section while preserving everything else you already love. "Change the chorus so it's sung by a gospel choir"
Build a mashup from multiple sources in one request. Combine elements from your different songs and describe how they should work together. "Take the vocals from x, drums from y and add new lyrics about losing control, make it 80s synthwave"
Sample, isolate and build a new beat in a single workflow. "Sample the riff at 0:45, isolate the guitar, build a beat around it"
Create from a vibe, genre or mix of inspirations. v6 can understand the feeling behind a reference and use it as the starting point for something original. "Make a song that feels like midnight on a rooftop"
Create with text, audio, images and video. Start with a written idea, voice memo, visual or video and turn it into music. "Make a song based on this image, this audio and my journal entry"
Update a single lyric without rebuilding the entire song. Change one word or line while leaving the rest intact. "Change the lyric from 'love' to 'light'"

What happens to old Suno models?
All models prior to v6 have been retired, but your songs will still be in your library and remain unchanged. You will still be able to listen to, share, remaster and cover songs made with old models.
What should I do if I preferred working with older Suno models?
We’ve designed the v6 family of models to support all the ways you have liked creating with past models. Check out this tutorial for more details on how to achieve the results of your favorite past models.
Can I keep working on songs I made with older models?
Yes. You can continue working on songs made with older models, but any new iterations will be made with our latest models. The original material stays the same, but new outputs can only be made with our v6 models.
Do v6 song generations cost more credits than v5.5 song generations did?
No. v6 song generations have the same credit cost as previous models. Each time you generate, you make two songs with a total cost of 10 credits. However, if you input many images and videos in your prompts, it would increase credit cost.
How does old model deprecation impact custom models?
Any custom models you’ve created will automatically get upgraded so that v6 powers your model moving forward. Songs created with your old v5.5 custom model will still be available, playable and unaffected by the v6 update.
What does the Variety slider do?
The Variety slider is designed to introduce variety in your outputs by adjusting and updating your style prompts. If you’d like to retain full control of your style tags, reduce the Variety slider to 0.
What is Max Mode?
Max Mode is an option you can turn on for any generation when you want v6 to spend more on getting it right. It costs more credits and it's best for: songs longer than two minutes, covers where you want the result to stay close to the original, transferring the style of one song onto another, and keeping vocals and style consistent through the whole track. For quick ideas and shorter songs, standard mode is all you need.
