Editing Clips in Studio

Double-click a clip and the bottom dock opens the Arrangement Editor: a waveform canvas (or a piano roll for MIDI clips) with a ruler, warp and transient markers, and draggable loop flags. All clip controls live in a footer bar, and they change with the clip type:

• Audio clips. Loop, Reverse, Stretch (a warp toggle with marker presets), Quantize, a Pitch stepper for transposing, a Formant knob, a Speed picker (.5x, 2x) and a Volume knob.

• MIDI clips. Loop, Quantize, Key/Scale assist, View, note preview and the Automation toggle.

An Info toggle opens a side panel with three tabs: Styles, Lyrics and Metadata.

A couple of edits happen right on the timeline, no editor needed: Cmd+E splits a clip at the playhead, and 0 disables selected clips (they dim and go silent).

1. Double-click a clip. The editor opens, expanding the panel if it's collapsed.

2. Trim and loop with the flags. Toggle Stretch to warp timing, then double-click to add warp markers and drag them to stretch the audio.

3. Dial in pitch, formant and speed from the footer knobs. Changes apply to the audio in real time.

4. Click Info for styles, lyrics and clip lineage.
